SELF DEFENSE SEMINAR WITH BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU BLACK BELT, PROFESSOR DIANA TRANG

Session One - Self Defense (Standing): 9:00-11:00am * No previous experience required
Session Two- Self Defense (Ground): 12:00-2:00pm * Must have attended a current or previous 1st session
Attend one seminar or both. Participants will learn valuable self defense techniques and learn the value of adopting these on-going practices for life. Techniques are based on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Open to all adults and teens.
It is recommended to participate in both sessions for a more complete learning expereience. During the 1-hour break between sessions, participants are welcome to bring a lunch + stay to mingle with the group. There are also several restaurant options nearby.

Professor Diana Trang is passionate about empowerent and teaching others how they can defend themselves through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a martial art originating from Brazil to which she holds a black belt rank. ("Professor" references a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, translating as "teacher" in Brazilian Portuguese) .
Diana has been in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community for 20 years. Over this time, she has taken part in the growth of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Canada and is one of the first female pioneers of BJJ in Western Canada. Not only will you find her behind the scenes, but you'll also find her on the mats, in the classes, teaching in schools, for businesses - and out in the community. She is an active community member and donates much of her time to give back through volunteerism and collaborations with like-minded organizations and individuals. She is passionate about building resilient communities and keeps it her mission to foster this sense of community within each class she teaches. Her motto: passion, purpose, service.
